Teach a girl to fish....

It was almost a year ago today...Marianne and I took our grandson Mason to Bass Lake 

for a little fishing...The nibbles were very few and far between....Mason became more 

interested in chasing lizards....and Marianne was drawn to a nest with baby birds nearby...

A young brother and sister walked up and watched me for a bit...She said that she had 

never caught a fish before, and doubted that she even could....I invited her to try. 

I showed her how to put the worm on the hook...how to cast...to focus on the bobber...

Success came in the form of a prime candidate for smallest fish ever snagged.

"Aliyah" may never give that day's moment a second thought...

But I sure have...
